TGF Pro Challenge | Sunday 13th Jan 2008 9pm
ALL Pokerdeals team were registered in plenty of time but due to there professional commitments the pro players were fashionably late registering to play.. Ash Hussain had only just got home from his brothers engagement party and rumour has it he may have been a little intoxicated.. John Tabatabai just made it after being woken up in the land of Oz for the game after some last minute phone calls.Once the game was underway the pro players were soon into their stride and were utilising the Pokerdeals players fear of busting out first to its full potential..
First of the Pokerdeals players to take the bull by the horns was Canadian Mark “River” Riley when he Flopped the a Nut Flush Draw.. He moved all in and was called by John Tabatabai with A9o. Riley missed the flush and made his way to the rails..
Second to fall was Shaun “sax” Williams.. A reraise 3 X BB in mid position from sax v Ash Hussains raise. Ash clearly thinking he was at it after he had reraised him the hand before, resulted in Ash pushing all in only to see sax flip KK v his AJ of hearts .A low flop came, the turn helps neither, but the A on the river to see that sax is out and further weaken the Pokerdeals team.
A lot of comments were made on Ash’s play and it was clear that the pro players weren’t going to roll over as easily as Pokerdeals had hoped..
Team TGF upped the pace even more, raising freely and bluffing Pokerdeals guys and showing much to the amusement of the growing number of spectators
Third out was again a Pokerdeals player Jason “Belgers” Horne with 10,10 who decides to push and finds himself up against John Tabatabai with AA. Needless to say the best hand held up.Canadian Tiger Mike Christianson put a brave fight doubling up against John Tabatabai and even trying a spirited bluff reraise against Ash.
)n a AQJ board Ash held K10 and Mike check raised Ash form the big blind but Mike had to pass on turn when Ash bet out and showed him the nuts.
Mike soon followed his team mates after he pushed with 10,10 and again walked into AA.. this time of Jon Huckle
Malcom “Pokermalc” Brewer was next to fall but only after he had a good run of cards and did actually get the pro players on the back foot for a while until his 9,10 walked into AA from Paul Jackson who had limit raised from mid position with Malc having top pair on a very low board not the easiest hand to get away from.
Once ALL pokerdeals players had been dispatched ( With the help of some very fortunate hands for the pro players) it was back to what they do best.. Plenty of banter and jibes at each others play with Actionjack on his usual form.. The pro players finally started to fall ash Kalpesh Patel push from the small blind with pocket 4’s only to see the chipped up Ash call from the BB 9 on the river to seeing him out..
BadBeat sponsored player John “Kunkuwap” Tabatabai was next to fall from the limelight as a steal with 45 ran into a dominating AQ of Jon Huckle and neither player could improve there hands.
Back to the Kangaroo burgers for John.
In the final HU Battle the chips were back and forth as both John TGF Huckle and Ash Hussain try to gain an advantage on the other with Ash bullying with his 4-1 chip lead
Final hand of the evening sees John TGF Huckle go for glory with JQo and Ash calls with a well dominated J7o.. The flop is irrelevant as was the turn but to everyone's amazement the now famous river Killer as he is now known on Pokerdeals Forum saw Ash hit his 7 and claim the Prize of TGF Pro Challenge winner..
Pokerdeals would Like to personally thank each of the Pro players for giving the Players from Pokerdealsforum the opportunity to sit and play against some of the best Poker players in the industry. A rematch has already been discussed and we will look forward to trying again to beat the best of TGF Poker..
